The Digital Art After School Portfolio Class
Will give college students interested in creative education and high school students with an interest in visual and digital art a place to learn, explore, and build. Mentor's will work alongside students to form portfolio's for college. Mentor's will conduct artistic workshops / demonstrations. Beginning Spring of 2018, the after-school program will provide teens with an opportunity to develop and experiment creatively. After school weekday classes will focus on graphic design and photography. All sessions will be taught by professionals from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
The Visual Arts Weekend Portfolio Class
Taught by local artists, the Saturday visual arts portfolio course will give student's the skills they desire. During it's duration , student's will experiment with the visual art in order to build a portfolio in preparation for creative programs available in higher ed. Currently, the weekend class will offer lessons on:
Students will not need prior experience, only motivation and a written or digital application submission. This class is offered to high school juniors and seniors. This creative studio course includes individual advisement and studio visits with professional artists. Applicants to the Portfolio class must attend an informal review on date assigned. Student's selected during the review will be able to enroll in the program.
